Having started school recently ,changed a lot of things for me .My way of unwinding and relaxation was volunteering in my children's school or painting. Being in school full time,I did not make time for my art work .

Soon enough I was caught in a vicious cycle of stressing and worrying about everything ,even things not worth spending a second thought on .I fell in line with the circle of complaining about how many quizzes we had,so lil' time, and all the things that seem to pile up.All the advice I give my kids, friends and clients ,I forgot to practice . Thankfully tho , I was nudged back to my center .The nudge came in the form of fainting.

I freaked  out my children and shall admit scared myself  too .That got me to relook at the way I had been living for the past couple of months.

The first thing I had forgotten was to breathe right. So I started back  with just that .Sitting in class I started minding my breath .On my 10 minute break I would take a short walk to relax  and  keep in shape . I wasn't hanging with the group anymore ,  it  gave me a welcome break from the group stressing and so like I normally do I accquired 2 labels "weirdo" and "loner". But that does  not matter as   my grades are where I want them to be and no more fainting spells for me .

So those of you that have changes coming up or are already in the midst of some ,please be mindful of your breaths .It helps you get into the natural flow of lifeand schedules seem to find a magical way of rearranging themselves for a joyful life.

Most Importantly be grateful for the small things !!

A book that I have been taking the time to read and apply to my life 1 chapter at a time is .....

"The Path of Practice"

            - BRI.Maya Tiwari.

The language is simple and the presentation  earnest.

Do  find the time to do something for your soul ,the rewards are great.

 A great meditation for centering....

Tara, Goddess of Centering

I sit with my attention focused on my breath

breathing in and out

inhaling and exhaling

taking in and letting go

the dance of creationthe dance of the universe

the dance of life

I sit in stillness

in focused awareness

breathing in and out

as the ocean that is life

churns and pulses around me

as oceans of incarnations

swirl and twirl through me

beside me all around me

My eyes see all know all

and watch

As I breathe Still. Focused. Aware.      Centered.
